The handle differs in small design points from Nikon MB-D11: The D-pad is similar to the camera and not a joystick like the original, the rubber coating on the back has a different profile and dials may have somewhat less.
I use the battery grip on my D7000 with a Nikon 70-200 2.8 and find the grip ergonomics overall very pleasant, but the dials are not always so easy to achieve, as the camera itself, this is especially true for the front.
The material quality is really good, the plastic is high quality and fits to the camera. The rubber coating on the front and back of the D7000 also has a very similar profile and has a good grip. In addition, the underside is gummed large area. The typeface of the AE-L button is a bit blurry, but not annoying. The pressure point of the keys is each as the camera itself and does not require getting used to.
The only real criticisms are, firstly, that the gaps are not really perfect (I personally do not care, but it is possible that some do not like), and the fact that the handle with great force load but clearly moved away from the camera. However, it is probably also hardly a surprise that a tripod mount is not designed for load 2kg or more.
Overall, the product offers excellent compared to the original price / performance. Five stars seem to me appropriate at a savings of 65%, despite small weaknesses.
