I had counted on the deluxe edition of the album "Voulez-Vous" in 2009, now it is finally here. Unfortunately it's not quite as successful as that of "Arrival" and "The Album", because on the one hand, I find the remastering not quite as successful and there are no this time, the Spanish versions. For this, I subtract a star. After all, now all have the opportunity to hear "Dreamworld" that have not yet one of the boxset "Thank You For The Music" or "The Complete Recording Sessions". However, this is a rather weak song and it is not surprising that ABBA then let him unpublished. There is also the slightly different remixed, extended version of "Voulez-Vous", which came out only as a promo-maxi-single time. That the album is stunningly good in itself, knows anyone who knows it completely. Not only the single hits from this LP are fantastic, other, lesser-known tracks like the disco-compatible "If It WasnŽt For The Nights" (one of my favorite disco hits of all time) had and of Agnetha wonderfully sung "As Good As New" huge hits are can, if they had ever come out as a single. The DVD offers once again, as with the other two deluxe editions, optical tidbits that are likely to be unknown to most fans safe. Who has seen the special "ABBA in Switzerland" or the interesting appearance with "If It WasnŽt For The Nights", which was not even finished mixed. Also of "I Have A Dream" is now the complete Live-neck to see where the verse gets with the children's choir still a "Encore". The booklet has been recreated and next to the genesis of the album features beautiful photos and a few single cases from various countries, who often were indeed quite different, because in the '70s, the ABBA-plates were distributed in all countries by other companies. For fans this edition of "Voulez-Vous" is a must, even if you have the album already in 6 different versions, for people who want to buy the album once, the "Deluxe Edition" is the best choice. Now I look forward to the outstanding luxury editions of "Super Trouper" and "The Visitors" and hope that finally the still unreleased "Just Like That" appears on the latter in good sound quality.
