I use this distribution to connect from my Dreambox (8000 HD) to the AV receiver (Yamaha RX-V775) produce, namely to two (!) Of its HDMI inputs. Why bother? I am used to the TV picture (accompanying the zapping) sometimes to listen to music. The music is played by Squeezebox (via Toslink). This requirement can be alone with the devices not so readily meet, because you can combine (for this requirement) at the AV receiver, the video and audio inputs are not suitable. Current configuration thus:
1. HDMI cable from Dreambox DVI / HDMI-out to the entrance of Ligawo distribution
2a. Output 1 from Ligawo distribution to HDMI2 receiver
2b. Output 2 from Ligawo distribution to HDMI3 receiver
HDMI2 is now so to watch TV (with accompanying audio), while at HDMI3 the TV picture is connected to the music (HDMI3 is by receiver setting combined with the Toslink audio input of your Squeezebox).
Now to the problem: In this configuration, guided only the PCM audio from the Dreambox via Ligawo distribution to the HDMI input on your AV receiver. If it is a Dolbi digital format (switching on your Dreambox on "Dolby Digital 2.0" or "Dolby Digital 5.1"), the tone remains silent! (BTW: For direct connection without distributor that works of course).
Apparently, so the "Dolby Digital" sound is not passed by this adapter either, or anything else on my configuration stands in the way. I have tried several other options: Replace the distributor outputs; use only one of the outputs; Power cycle the equipment involved; Use the external power supply for the adapter .... nothing has helped.
My Solution: I have also connected an optical Toslink cables from the Dreambox to the AV receiver and the input used linked to HDMI2, which again the picture and sound come together completely.
Other: With the video signals there is otherwise no problems. The blue LEDs are (unfortunately) very bright, making it back in the rack in the harness rumleuchtet unnecessarily bright.
I'll keep the distributor, I can live with the remedy. However, it is a bit annoying that it does not work right and I had to pull an additional cable in order to achieve the desired behavior.
