Against all warnings and firmly believing I was not of the negative reviews and high probabilities of default here, and above all else (Google is your best friend) will not let me impress and have ordered a total of two of these hard drives, one of them on Amazon. After the disaster of the Seagate 7200.11er series (of which I have two), I could not imagine that Seagate again raises directly the product without adequate quality assurance to the market and have unfortunately made a mistake. After commissioning I heard once an irregular clicking of the computer case, sometimes loud sometimes quiet, only I did not know to assign it. Does the hard drive to shovel data, this click does not happen, but as soon as the harddisk is in the "idle" or changes from idle to the load condition, it does not click, sometimes extremely loud (I'm talking about the Rekalibrierungsklicken that I know in part, of my other 12 disks). The corresponding settings in the Power Options and the APM settings have also been changed to no avail to me. The proprietary diagnostic tool will "of course" no error. (Of course, therefore, since the 7200.11er series was perfectly fine according tool until the data were gone). If you look at but in appropriate forums in order, you see quickly that the probability of failure at about 35-40 percent is, at least one of which rule on the hard drive. For Segate this problem is non-existent and therefore one does not respond.
Currently Amazon has also taken (directly) the hard drive out of the program. I think they do well.
Who wants to know its data safe, should another manufacturer dodge (I prefer Samsung as I have only had good experience with it of which had (a total of 18 plates and only a gentle failure)). However, everyone should make up with yourself.
Seagate wins with me broken on four plates = four pieces. Good Job :-)
