To the first question the answer is yes! It is as good as its predecessor. I find pleasure all the features that I like so much.
To the second question the answer seems to be yes too. At least for the moment. But already the impression is very positive, the bracelet seems more solid than his little brother.
The two elements which for me makes all the difference on the UP24 are:
- Its mobile application: a model of its kind, only the Withings application manage to get close but very far away,
- Intelligent alarm function: for many are the bracelets that analyze your sleep, but the UP is the only wake you at the right time, in a light sleep cycle.
When we taste the delicious peaceful awakening can no longer do without the Jawbone UP.
The fact that the UP24 must be loaded every 6-7 days is not so restrictive that it compared to the UP that we charged every 10 days. The Bluetooth communication function is against magic, much more effective than the connection jack, and more should help extend the life of this model. Caution, however you need a terminal that supports Bluetooth LE 4 (from the iPhone 4S so).
A precision which is important: size matters. We must choose between 3 different sizes and M is very small ... Attention when ordering to choose the right size so.
After a few months of use: damaging balance sheet, the UP24 eventually break, too fragile head, he began to no longer light up, his head was "pressed" into the rubber sheath and ultimately the head broke. Jawbone has therefore always the same quality problem on its trackers ... it's a shame because it's still the best market for me but at this price it is disappointing that it does not take more than 3 months. A contact with Jawbone and they sent me a new UP24 quickly replacing the previous. The support is effective is fast but it's still disturbing to know that every 4 months it will be broken.
