Not so enthusiastic 1

After a few years with two monitors on the desk they should be replaced by a large. Due to the comparatively low price combined with good technical specifications, the choice fell on the B276HUL (the remaining Buchstabensalat I spare).
So much for a reason to buy.

== Installing ==
The building proceeds without tools. The "support column" is snapped into the base plate and fixed via a thumbscrew. The display itself is simply clipped.

Assembled in this way the monitor from light jostling at the table remains unfazed, you press the button or touch the screen to the edge, swinging / "wobbles" it slightly. While not earth-shattering, but not particularly bad.

The rotation of the screen (Pivot) and "the" table top, height adjustment and tilting one accepts best ambidextrous due to the size of the screen. Nevertheless, the alignment can be changed easily.

== == Connectivity
In addition to the DVI connector, the two HDMI ports, there are two DisplayPort connectors as the source. However, only one other connector is used for distribution of DP signals to other devices used as an input.

The mains supply line must directly to the machine, so no additional power supply, which is on the table or floor.

Practically, the USB 3.0 hub - two ports are located on the back next to the signal inputs, two more on the left side of the housing. One of the ports is marked as USB Charging capability. Here is no cable to the PC for the stroke.

If the rear USB ports, is also located a 3.5mm jack socket that allows the audio signal from HDMI or DisplayPort is passed. There is / are indeed also one / two speakers built into the device, but the rich more than the sounds of the operating system.

== == Picture
Now we come to the core competence of each screen: the image.

When you turn on the screen turns when it comes to full brightness, which you will be greeted by the IPS-typical glow.
The brightness should in my opinion suffice for light jobs for night owls the lower brightness limit may be applied a little lower.

The illumination is ok, slight unevenness can but recognize.

There, at least for me a problem on the unit: The lighting seems to take place only from the top (which leaves at least the slight warming of the case suspect) and thus the light is very strong to be fanned by the lens through the bottom. This can be seen on the basis of fine and slightly darkened diagonal lines, which occur at a distance of about 1 mm. Especially falling on at intervals under an arm's length from the screen.

This is also the reason why I - to request the support of Acer, which was answered very quickly - already asked for a replacement unit of Amazon have (the exchange ran kudos to the folks at Amazon within one day, in this regard! )
Unfortunately, it is the replacement device the same way.

The "effect" is not brightness-dependent and equally visible even with different content. On the panel it should not be thus. On closer inspection it actually looks as if these lines came from behind the screen, so the lighting. My guess: either the lens or the front diffuser was not developed as 100%.

Too bad.

Aside from this lack, the picture in terms of colors for my purposes more than satisfactory, especially the high resolution and thus the available space to work I do not want to miss.

In terms of response times, there is nothing to complain, the overdrive can be used - if care is taken - recognize, but is not disturbing.

The whistling or buzzing sounds that occur with some monitors in different display contents occur when Acer even on, but almost inaudibly. As previously so have caught some CRT monitors much louder.

== Conclusion ==

Now we come to quick end:

+ Mechanism relatively stable
+ Many degrees of freedom in the alignment
+ Plenty of space on the screen
+ Pleasant color representation
+ High Brightness
- Built-in speakers unusable
- Strip the lower screen area

The last is an absolute killer criterion for me (unfortunately).
What helps a good mechanics and a good color representation, if the picture is permeated with pinstripes?

== == Supplement
With respect to the image-dependent noise there seems to be a certain product diversification. My first instrument was almost inaudible, the second can be a little clearer about what it indicates. With good hearing can perceive it as a nuisance in absolutely quiet location.
