The bushings of the cable at both ends are not really waterproof * and not splashproof. That is why water is running in the rain in the safe box inside, but not back out. This corrode during prolonged use, the plug, and the short term triggers the FI due to short circuit of. Suitable as a purely mechanical protection against pulling the plug / coupling, and as a short-term (!) Protection from rain. The easiest way to a bar over which the clutch is so hung that the plug can be inserted from below through the clutch and rain flows away.
