Housing:
The housing makes a wobbly impression (very thin sheet), but is sufficiently stable when properly footprint. A fall of the pot is excluded
The pot support is stowed for transport to save space in the device. When using the flames reach up to the carrier, so that in some places chips off the enamel and the underlying metal starts to rust, but, if the itch?
The burner itself is quite large (flame ring), so one can safely use an espresso machine (6 cups) NOT. I have a round "adapter plate" made of 3mm aluminum sheet prepared me which worked excellently.
Cartridge replacement:
Child's play, also "Unopened" cartridges can be changed with the operation of a lever. Who still knows the old stand by Kocher Campinggaz appreciate this advantage.
Heating capacity:
The heat output is really sufficient, except the cartridge filling is drawing to a close. Then the performance drops rapidly because the cartridge strongly cools down. I then quickly inserted a new cartridge to finish cooking and reused the opened cartridge later. The cartridge change works with pot on the stove!
Wind speed:
Default, you should worry about a windbreak in windy areas, otherwise you will consume more gas than necessary. In contrast to the old state of boiler Campinggaz I rate the stove but as a "storm-proof" ;-)
Supply situation with replacement cartridges:
On each camping you could buy the cartridges, but at astronimischen prices (part 5! Per cartridge). Here therefore best buy enough cartridges. The Campinggaz cartridges are also (and ;-) produced in the same country).
Security:
The cooker should be operated unattended indoors under any circumstances:
- No flame fuse! When the flame goes out, the gas flows from unburned!
- Doubtful quality of gas lines and seals. They look adventurous, stayed with me but tight, even with permanently attached cartridge. Nevertheless, the cartridge after use from the device it is recommended to separate.
Conclusion:
Affordable Kocher holds but what it promises high leaves a slightly inferior impression.
