That should do in the end the tape for me:
- Control of the use to be food
- Step and Reputation
- Control of my sleep
- Motivation
In short, the band has disappointed me in all areas.
Packing:
The belt comes in a small but fine cardboard. You can see it through the transparent plastic already. When unpacking then a USB cable for charging and a USB dongle a fall to synchronize with the PC into their own hands. The dongle I have not tried, I synchronize the tape with the app on my phone.
There is guidance not only a reference to the APP, which one should bring up.
Quality and comfort:
The band makes only once a high impression. It works well finished and the band is made of a comfortable rubber. When worn, this band turns but as a rather disturbing. I can not describe it, I felt it personally as sticky and thus permanently tight to the skin. Even in the farthest position I still had a foreign body sensation.
This is also a certain crux of the story. Pulse measurement is namely only accurate at tight band and it is even recommended for activities where you need an accurate pulse to provide (jogging) the tape as close as possible. The pity is that the tape is not waterproof. Showers and Sport has been through but it without a murmur.
Meanwhile, I have the UP24 of Jawbone. This is also closely follow, I do not feel this as a perfect but a foreign body sensation, I have not. Probably because the whole band is more delicate and narrow.
Toll is undoubtedly the display of the batch. Easy to read and gives so simple a short feedback what one has done.
Now to the individual requirements:
Food log:
In my view, impossible. The database of foods is very small. Standard products from the supermarket I have not found. So I had to upgrade to the App MyFitnisspal. There I protokolierte the food and the Fitbit app took over the data. I find something totally annoying, because it's just not a total solution. The Fitbit app shows a so not to whether the food is good or bad but the kcal. Annoying. Jawbone has since considerably more. With the mobile camera even scanning barcodes of products is possible.
Log steps:
I found the whole thing as absolutely inaccurate. I'm a dentist. In so far always much in motion, with breaks on PC to make entries. Tap on the PC generated partly steps that relocating the morning and evening brought me almost 70 Steps, etc. The idea is therefore already obsolete. Floors were not governed properly. I realize that in the small appliance plugged but no GPS, an acceleration sensor, but that was me just too much uncertainty and also destroys the motivation thoughts. As already described in another recession, the Pulse is also inaccurate. The you can save directly from my point of view and when the normal batch purchase.
Sofa Control:
Again, the band failed with me. Of course it's a bit annoying to activate the sleep mode by pressing a button on the wristband as the Up24, but it logs then relatively accurately.
I'm currently often against 3 or 4 clock in the morning awake. But can go back to sleep after about half an hour. The batch moved the Einschlafet mostly to midnight, although I go to 22 no later than 23 clock to bed. The interruption was probably to switch to the tape affixing the sign to awake mode. During almost two weeks gestation period I had thus an average sleep of 3-4 hours. Absolutely absurd.
Motivation:
Well that there is not, in my view. Some interaction with the band or the app will not take place. It turns on the app and see based on beam how far you have with the objectives. Background information or certain messages such as when there are not Up24. Only after 10,000 steps vibrates the belt.
Every now and then I started getting emails from Fitbit. In the kind of "super you're 40 km run!" Joy came there not with me.
The app from Jawbone is designed clearly fresh and playful. This is definitely a matter of taste, but I find it so much more fun and entertaining. At a glance you can see on the basis of bar as the main objectives. Health information can be found, etc. Then another little gimmicks like the smart alarm of a morning wake in a time window, a reminder if you sit around too long lazy etc.
The 2 star there is therefore only for the overall good impression of quality!
Update:
A brief postscript on my part. The longer I wear the Up24 depending less credible are the measurement data from the batch HR.
When batch HR I came every day over the required 10,000 steps or at least extremely close. When Up24 stands at a nromalen working between 4000-6000 steps in the app. A big difference in my opinion.
