Customer Review

I have recently said Sony Vaio Notebook ordered (though the black version). There was only one day in use, but I would like to briefly comment on this to share my experience with other customers.

POSITIVE:
+ Se quality workmanship (externally), with one exception: the plug of the charging cable (plug, which is plugged into the corresponding socket of the case) can be bent by 30 ° in all directions. Inferior socket or on purpose? Power in any case a bad impression.

+ Good display with HD resolution, which hardly reflected

+ Lit, (copied both keyboard and belgium of Apple's MacBook Pro? Certainly looks visually absolutely identical ...) good keyboard, the integrated numeric keypad is a matter of taste (who's needs)

+ Device nice and flat and relatively easy; even the 15-inch model can be transported easily

+ USB 3.0

+ Vaio bar in Windows. Copies of Mac OS X, but why not, it is always useful

+ General Windows is littered with thousands of unnecessary programs, as is often the case with some other manufacturers. So you can almost save the otherwise obligatory formatting the hard drive and subsequent clean installation actually

NEGATIVE:

- For a Windows box quite expensive (would be OK if the quality would vote in all areas)

- Absolute no-go No.1: the fans of the Vaio does not just getting (even at zero load the BIOS!), But is so loud and unpleasant, that it is absolutely unbearable, with this unit in a quiet working environment ( home office or library) to work. As I said, this is the noise! If the notebook under "Last" comes (eg surfing the Internet) the fan rotates even higher, is located on a site even a flash banner ads, we go right from. In computer games, or installing programs, I find "turbine noise of a jet" an apt description of fan noise. I suspect that you wanted to keep the device as flat as possible - with a poor thermal design. Sony writes even on its website that a (permanent) Power / fan noise is normal, they may serve the longer shelf life of the components and the exercise would depend on subjective feelings. So you can also consist of a bug, a feature making ^^ mallet hard. Who by the way times "Sony Vaio fans loudly" similar to Google enters quickly finds hundreds Leide comrades. Sony is a problem well known, can, or wants to change anything. Hindsight is always smarter ...

- Absolute no-go No.2: As soon as the notebook depends on the power comes from the vicinity of the power supply socket an unbearable, radio frequency and irregular tweeting from the housing. That also seems, according to various Board discussions to be a common problem. It may be that I only perceive the buzzing because I have very good hearing (am 25). They say that older people perceive high sounds not so good. In any case testifies the bleeping, in my estimation, of poor quality components inside the computer.

CONCLUSION:
The noise of the computer was just unbearable. How unbearable, I realized as the computer finally was from me and a subconscious "Peace at last" -Seufzen escaped. I have the notebook returned immediately, because even my 6 year old (and now replaced) notebook was definitely not so loud - although the fan quite dusty and the ball bearing was worn out. How loud the Sony is only when it has under his belt a few times years?

Actually, I find it a pity that I had to return the equipment. It offered (at least on paper) everything I needed. But for such a howler box is me the money just too good. Since I could not find on the Windows notebook market despite intensive research anything useful more (most notebooks have similar problems! Just Google strive and not blind (possibly purchased) Confidence testing of various online magazines!), I am now on a MacBook Pro switched. The outstanding workmanship which virtually imperceptible operational noise and of course Mac OS X had the (admittedly many) Euros worth.
