By ill-conceived injection mold (plastic takes place during cooling together, hereby arise in poorly constructed workpieces deformations, distortions and stresses in the material), the card has a bump, the more difficult the insertion and removal of the card into a mobile phone, or damage can result.
Conclusion: The adapter is cheap, but it is processed accordingly. It should therefore only be used when you do not want to separate the SIM card and the mobile phone or even no longer need and then wants to throw away.
