There was still time for a change because I'm too often changed to my T & A T160E standing speakers, if I wanted to listen to music in really good quality.
So fired up the engines and began the search.
The connection options I wanted to get halfway, the speakers should also be greater because I had toyed with the idea over and over again at the Behringer to supplement a sub, down rum was missing something.
Actually, I did not want to invest as about twice the Behringer, but I quickly realized that nothing is.
So once again checked the maximum dimensions that still just fit between desk and wall shelf and then thrown overboard the price limit, now it had to be speakers that should remain as my floorstanders decades.
With whom I am after more than 15 years nor more than happy, neutral and better not sound speakers !!!
Finally landed in Nupro A-200, the technical data and fit the uniformly positive reviews promised at least not totally mishit ;-)
The 300 would not fit and the price jump was too violent.
Delivery after 3 days, well packed and with all kinds of cables and even 2 remotes, nice!
Unwrapped, connected with fiber optic cable to the PC, the settings Behringer left (24Bit 96KHz) and coupled with the RCA cables, turned on, changed the interface to visually and already in operation, it was just ...
Power checked: turned 16 watts, 0.8 watts off (total consumption of both speakers), 6 watts more like the Behringer, but still just fine for me. After all, the amplifier are considerably more powerful in the MS20 an amplifier both speakers has provided since it may be a little more consumption.
Processing: Can I only call spotless, nicely rounded, perfectly painted, processed all the bolts clean, nothing vermackt, things were not going. The speaker protection (Cats Protection) hang with strong magnets on the screws.
Operation: The menu operation has everything you need, the display is switched off, selected, the remote control works without problems, everything was great!
Sound: the bass would set, I had already read and hoped.
But what I got then listen, I did not expect!
I can not imagine that you have not helped along here with frequency response adjustment, which is probably no problem with a digital box to me.
The limiter (optional on the display) is also quite fast with bass-heavy music and a little over permanently ertragendem level (eg Lorde album Pure Heroine) active and the 16cm driver steers scary with plenty of moving air at the bass reflex tube.
What is there exactly is limited, not to hear. I expect that only to the extent performance is frequency dependent limited to avoid damage and if it should be so, that's a comforting feeling.
The heights have increased well over the Behringern, but not so much that I had to try the treble control.
The speakers sound absolutely pleasant, as round and inconspicuous, as I have always appreciated my great T & A, without changing the tone setting.
And the bass, at least in my line-up, only 8cm away from the wall, leaves no doubt that a subwoofer would be a bad investment and quite unnecessary.
I also think that the A-300 would only music playback make it much better and movies (sound effects) I hear about the T & A with 38cm subwoofer.
The speakers are a pleasure and I do not regret a second investment!
Whether you have to take so much money "only" for speakers on PC in hand, everyone should decide for themselves. But you spend so much time in front of the box, that one should do no Brüllwürfel his ears, I find.
In addition, you will keep (good) speakers probably for many years and since the money is well spent.
I had to again today between large state speakers and small active decide, I would not think twice.
High bass level can not be realized with speakers such as A-200. In a rented apartment you need about it but not to worry ...
Addendum after another week:
The bass is just amazing and I have again in detail compared right next to the large T & A. It seems to me, as they would now sound almost better than this.
Bright Lights !!!
