Why?
Because in this book to play the guitar in the Ionian system, melodic minor and harmonic minor are very well explained!
However, this textbook is not for beginners, since basic knowledge of harmony and some technical know-how should be available to deal with this book specifically improve his guitaristic abilities.
There are all major triads, scales and chords for the above designed Modes (eg Kirchentonarten) illustrated with tablature and fingering and how to apply them.
So this book is very well suited as a reference work.
(You can use the fingering of it - it Lydian or - to consider minor melodically without playing?)
However, no Licks be introduced to re-enact to sound such as Lydian or Dorian, but what chords and scales are important to produce these sounds!
This can be done (2-3 minutes top sound quality and generally) then try on the basis of very good playbacks and delve into the mysteries of advanced guitar playing.
The disadvantage of this book is that it is in English and uses many technical terms.
As a perfect complement to this book, I recommend "Peter Gelling - Prgressive Scales & Modes for Guitar".
