I bought this cable to connect an old laser printer Canon LBP-4i 8.1 on a Windows 64-bit PC.
After connecting the cable, Windows has 5-6 minutes to download / install the driver.
Then manually add a printer because of course the automatic detection does not.
The driver for my printer does not exist in Windows 8 but ok equivalent driver (HP LaserJet 4L).
Be careful when adding the printer did not select a parallel port LPT1 / LPT2 / LPT3 but a USB port with a strange name generated when installing the driver.
