Hello I bought this model based on the reviews of other people and also because it was the cheapest I could find, with lots of accessories For me it works flawlessly, is recognized immediately, install software and run. I must say for the price you get a lot for your money, lots of accessories and software, everything you need. The box does what you'd expect, fast scanning slides or negatives. (Much faster than a flatbed scanner) + -5sec per dia. The resolution also reaches with 1800dpi or 3600dpi max. (Interpolated ??) But: Like other people have noticed the pictures are not very sharp, and the colors are also not very good. but what do you expect for the few bucks? there is no Focusieriung. The colors are artificially aged (like an old movie) as could a decent software to help determine or a proper calibration. Here are a few observations: when starting a new scan, the automatic calibration must be performed! otherwise coming as I said a strong blue tinge and even worse colors. After calibration, the colors are reasonably ok. (But still a slight green tint with me) I put everything on a maximum, 48bit, tif, 3600dpi. Then is a bit slower and large files which I later then processed. In particular, the software becomes slower. The slide tray is a bit fiddly, rather fooled and shove only 1 slide, but goes quickly. always 2-3 seconds wait for the colors to level off (you can see on the screen that the self-adjusting) Press button done next. After use, also plug otherwise pull (ver -?) Burns the lamp does not go by itself. Otherwise, the unit is well made, looks solid. Who here super Bildquälität is expected disappointed, but you have to put a lot more money on the table! but price / performance is quite OK. I have a flatbed scanner me transparency unit in the cover of Epson. does not cost the world and the quality is already considerably! better than this slide scanner. I would highly recommend this flatbed scanner as cheap solution if you only occasionally want to scan a handful of slides that lasts then, however, several minutes per slide! But mighty difference in quality! yes otherwise only a "professional" Film Scanner comes in question but are then completely different prices .. (if it is worth it? But then there must be many slides ..)
