The first thing to consider (apart from the price ...) is the use that we want to make the camera. the Coolpix S3100 correctly completed his mission for subjects in bright light and not too fast ... When the subject is a bit in the shadows, autofocus finds it difficult to take stock ... Make pictures of children poses even more concern: the time the focus and the shutter do, the cherub is not out of context but not far ... and not very clean! Comment a little harsh? It's just one cannon HS220 is lent me, indeed 70% more expensive ... with which I managed photos of my children in the same lighting conditions ... But better a picture a little fuzzy than no picture at all and beside price, the Nikon wins!
