Once again exciting!

The prequel to the "The Mortal Instruments" series takes place in 19th century London. Tessa Gray device immediately after their arrival in the clutches of the Dark Sisters, who know how to lure under torture undreamed skills from Tessa out. It reveals itself to her a terrible world of vampires, werewolves, warlocks, fairies and Shadow Hunters. In the latter she takes refuge after they may flee from the Dark Sisters, where he met, among others, Will and Jem know, two Shadowhunter friends bring Tessa's emotional life soon orderly mess. Cassandra Clare writes usual rousing about the world of Shadowhunters. Many family names come before a known and we learn from this prequel some interesting (but not necessarily important) background information on things and creatures that can be found in "The Mortal Instruments". Clare himself writes that "The Infernal Devices" is a series that in the same world as "The Mortal Instruments" plays, but the stories are independent. You can see the books in the order read as you want and also do not have to read both series to understand everything. I can only confirm!

I found the beginning of the book a bit slow. It took me probably only something to get used to me of the characters. Not later than the half but I was able to book again not put it down and at the end so waiting a cliffhanger to the reader that I do not know how to bridge the time until the appearance of the second volume.
