The DP2 Quattro looks definitely out futuristic or falls on. Anyone looking for a discreet camera for street photography, here is therefore definitely in the wrong place. The shape is certainly not optimal, in particular the directional pad on the back does not get to be where Sigma has placed it. Nevertheless, the Quattro is comfortable to hold - at least for me. But alone this issue is likely to be highly controversial in various forums.
The operation has also been adjusted properly, especially the Quick Set Menu Like me now really good and can be individualized 1A. The direct access makes it easy to quickly adjust all values. The direction of rotation of the mode selection wheel is not always logical, but again can virtually adjust everything in the camera menu.
The picture quality ... Again, the pixel junkies are picking apart again in forums, analyze test charts and await eagerly for laboratory measurements to dynamic range and noise - all I care less. Who we processed the first images of the DP2 Quattro in RAW converter hardly believe what he has going on. Even if the sensor has "only" 20 megapixels, the images are extremely sharp - and the way to the rim. Even in high-contrast situations I had no problems.
The noise has also been reduced neat, over ISO-1600 I would still not go - and even ISO-1600 only for black / white, as color noise is quite strong already. The post in the sigmoid colon PhotoPro 6 unfortunately takes his time and burdened itself is not powerful PCs to almost.
My Conclusion: We speculate times on similar falling prices as its predecessor ... Then the Sigma DP2 Quattro is very fast a real price / performance bombers with a superior image quality (in ordinary light). If someone looks for a low-light artist or a camera for your pocket, well that is unfortunately wrong here.
