Both boards are very quiet and fast. At the XBox she was immediately recognized and the question of whether I want to use them for the XBox as a memory expansion, it was ready for use after a few moments. Tested with the game Forza Horizon and feels no appreciable loading times. One simply does not realize that as an external disk hangs. Another advantage is that you already installed games from the internal drive to the external can move. Maybe interesting for all, in which the internal panel comes already the limit.

Both panels immediately go into standby if you turn off the Xbox or the PC and then blinking merrily to himself. A real switch in vain. Personally, I have all the equipment to switchable power strips and turn always off when I do not need the equipment. But who intends such a plate, for example. To operate in the bedroom or like quiet in the shadows watching a movie in the living room, the could interfere with the relative bright flashing entirely.

Ursprüglich hung the plate on the PC is now on the Fritz! Box and I would have it since can only be switched off completely, if you pull the power plug. That like the Fritz! Box not and I had to log out only in the configuration and the plate. That was me too annoying in the long run and completely unnecessary, it must not spend 24/7 on standby. May indeed be no high power consumption, but I pay unwillingly when I have no benefits. And the power supply is then certainly also exposed to more wear.

A USB cable is included. The power supply is already too familiar 12V 1.5A power supply, which I already had plates in the older WD Elements always there. If times get broken one is catered for replacement.

So far, I've never had problems with WD drives and WD therefore always happy.
