For a compact camera, this model is in its core area, the photograph. One has to say that it was one of the few compact cameras with large sensor 1 / 1.6 instead of 1 / 2.33 and is first. There are few cameras with larger sensors and the others are much more expensive. This in combination with a relatively low resolution results in very good photos. For me it was so far the best compact camera that I had in my hands. Precondition is, however, that one a little busy with the camera and not simply uses the automatic and complies with the following simple rules. - High resolution only under good lighting conditions, allow a maximum of ISO 400. - Better manually select ISO 100. - The DR mode limited to ISO 400 is a good standard mode - The lighting is dim Use the NR mode and pictures with ISO 800 - ISO 1600 rather go down to 3 MP. - Limit the automatic to ISO 800 or max 1600. - The camera noise removed little by itself, but this is actually not so bad, because there is this excellent PC software. - Maybe to use during the night next to the DR mode mini tripod and self-timer. So you can expose a second, which is time to make noise-free ISO 100 images that are not blurred (program mode = overnight, or manually set shutter speed). If one considers that, you can make very good photos, which are significantly better than those of many other compact cameras in this price range. When shooting one should however expect any brilliant achievements. Here is set in the successors to a smaller sensor with more pixels and hochgezüchtetem superzoom, so this was probably the last good Fuji compact camera.
