For some inexplicable reason, for me the most reviewers do not like this album. I'm trying to understand their arguments, but my ears instruct me every time better. "Too old to rock'n'roll" is a tremendously refreshing, multi-faceted, varied album that the then successful "rock operas" - takes and "concept" albums of other British bands that made fun of virtuosity and imaginative. I think it is one of the weirdest and most creative albums Jethro Tull. It is the only one of its albums from the 70s that has never bored me and surprised me every time anew. Even the album sound technology is still quite a feat. "Too old to rock'n'roll" deserves all ranked among the five best albums of the band.
