The clock comes in a simple black cardboard box that does not contain a USB cable, a charging unit and a power supply. A manual was not in my copy, but is not necessarily required.
On photos makes the LG Watch Urbane for SmartWatch powerful thing ago. Live puts the bit because the rather expansive dimensions do not want to really fit for filigree Dress Design. 56 x 45 mm measures the good piece and is 11 mm high - the design of the G Diver Watch R fits these dimensions significantly better. With 17.5 cm I have a pretty average wrist and because I need exactly the fourth of eight holes in the bracelet, I conclude that LG has developed the Watch Urbane exactly for those wrists. Yet the clock helps me to extreme and acts clearly too large.
Processing default, there is nothing to complain about. The housing is completely made of stainless steel and protected when delivered by films. These are a little fiddly to remove, but leave no residue. The law placed pusher is fitted clean and has a clear pressure point. The display is made of scratch resistant Gorilla Glass. Is fixed to arm the Urbane with a black leather strap with buckle and white contrasting seams. The Lug is designmäßig somewhat questionable, since it is much too high for a leather bracelet. Even a solid steel bracelet, that through the 22mm standard width simply could procure, would seem likely to be lost a little.
The clock can be easily coupled with each AnroidWear-compatible smartphone. It must be noted that the first pairing must necessarily take place on the Main App, otherwise the clock is no longer recognized. After pairing is running a synchronization for a few minutes. Then the Watch Urbane is ready.
The functions can be carried try within a short time easy to learn. As limited use I consider after a few days with the clock as follows:
- Music player control (finite useful even under Android without root Remote Control)
- Built-in Heart Rate Monitor with support of popular Fitness Tracker Apps (for people who do not have a heart rate monitor or a heart rate monitor)
- Pedometer (wers consumption)
- Preview display new notifications (unfortunately on the clock not really readable)
Add to that the superficially attractive way to change the "Dial" (Watch Face) arbitrarily in combination with apps like Facer or Watchmaker. Unlike most other smartwatches the Watch Urbane shows the Watch Face on permanently. However, most Watch Faces have a power saving mode, which significantly reduces the displayed items within a few seconds, then often no longer looks so appealing. In Faces, who do not have, then will just simply times are the second hand :-)
On energy: Again, the LG is expected to other models. Two days duration are more common in case, but not excessive use definitely there.
Will I keep the Watch Urbane now? I'm not so sure. It's convenient to look at with a view to the wrist, if the message that came in since grade is really important. Especially in the gym, I find it personally also great to finally have a convenient remote control for the music player, so I do not always have to fumble the cell phone out of his pocket. On the other hand, I am using the style factor then not satisfied and generally wear every day a different clock. I will not give up and would thus in doubt case, probably whenever a SmartWatch would be handy, no case. Also there for the price of LG Watch Urbane with luck already half Longines HydroConquest or a similar automatic model of the upper middle class.
