I bought a total of six (6) Zinc HDDs. At first glance, the case is really top processed to look very slim and beautiful.
BUT:
- The screws on the bottom housing can not be screwed with standard (in Germany) tool. A type-safe 1,5er or 2er Allen key does not fit. I div. Tools, but these screws was nothing suitable there. The empty enclosure unfortunately is not the right tool here.
- In the case a small Paltine is housed on the USB 3.0 is soldered with very thin pins, since the USB 3.0 connector is slightly hakelig by the design, you realize after a short time that the USB 3.0 connector on the board itself moved. After 8 months was with me unfortunately circuit and the USB connector is terminated by the board !!!
Whoever wishes to convert the case, this may of course welcome to do it, provided you get the screws on the housing again. But without the right tools ... I had to use force to open after 8 months in order to save at least the built-in hard drive. The case now heads to the scrap! The other plates partially jiggle even the USB 3.0 jacks. An isolated incident, these are certainly not.
Conclusion: At first glance, a great, attractive housing. Unfortunately, the quality is so poor that you can purchase from an only advise. Too bad!
