I ordered the Wireless Stick for my Philips 40PFL8605. I had to drive but unfortunately return again. My recession here is valid for use on a Philips TV. To function when used on a Philips Blurayplayer or another Philips appliance I can not say anything. Reason: The connection when playing the files (photos, music or videos from PC or NAS hard disk streaming) broke off for a bstimmten time. The Philips Service informed me that would be the router. Many routers check at certain intervals (approximately every 15 minutes), whether these compounds is still needed. Says the participants no, or does not answer, the router cuts the connections to relieve the network. Says the participants that he still needs the connection, it remains. Philips TVs are set so that you do not reply to such a query (also called IGMP -Snooping) simply, even if the connection is still needed (eg., To play next to the currently running movie). In my case (TCom router Speedport Family) the IGMP query is performed and can not be disabled on the router config. => Demolition of the connection every 15 minutes. Philips was able to get on request call no Routers fuktioniert or not IGMP Snooping performs or this can be switched off. All I can say from experience that all router Speedport Family (probably even all T-Com router) so that does not work (I have Speedport W700, W502, W503 tested). Who wants to only use the stick to get on the internet with the TV (Net TV applications) can use the stick with T-COM routers that works (with n-standard LAN). But that's only half the function. Cause of the error is actually the television, there is obviously already longer the problem, I can not understand why the Philips television on not configured the "IGMP Snooping" on and off is (read the the Fersher can process these requests), then could find each router use. Really problematic is when it additionally still want to use T-Home, these (the media receiver from T-Home) requires namely routers with IGMP snooping. Then the dilemma is there ......
To Feature "projection of the computer screen to the television screen" I can say that, although the works but only with reduced resolution. If the wireless connection is not 100% good (n-standard min 150mbs) then the bit rate is also lowered. The tool is most used to transmit even a presentation from the PC to the TV. From pictures enjoyment (slideshow, etc.), or even video enjoyment can not speak. It will also work no "full screen features" (such as a slide show plays on the PC in full screen mode, or the media player plays the movie in full screen mode ...) then remains black of Philips TV from me no obvious reasons. The Service advised me here only a firmware update of Fersehers I had however already made. It will only work so called "desktop images".
The alternative would be to lay a network cable, or -where possible- not be used on the sockets this LAN system. This is certainly not more expensive than the stick.
