The shoes should replace one of my two pairs of its predecessor Firetail GTX, which was leaking in the area between the sole and upper shoe after about three years. Besides the fact that the fit of the left (too large) turned out differently (in order), and the right, which could not be offset with the accompanying exchange deposits, the shoes are much more rigid, bad damped and less breathable than their predecessors. The subjectively fresh design and quality workmanship (for two stars) was under these circumstances and in view of aching feet after short distances no reason to keep them. The purchased as an alternative Wildfire GTX from the same manufacturer are a better choice for mild to moderately difficult terrain (and even in everyday life) in my eyes.
