Orden Ogan are back!

Rave Head (LTD. Digipak + DVD) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

If a band that is particularly fond of, to bring out a new album, which is regularly a nail-biter: Will the music be as I love her? Or, the artists have even increased? Or is the newest work a disappointment? The first two published appetizer for the new album "Rave Head", "Fever" and the title song were, hoping that the latter would not already be the case. When I had the day of publication the new shekel in the post office and lodged him for the first time in the player, the tension rose. The melodramatic intro entitled "Orden Ogan" put me in the same the cover corresponding darkly melancholic mood and I like that. The next two tracks were already known to me. So I knew that the Order has remained true even with the new album. I would argue again, I would have without knowing by whom are these songs, recognized the author after a few bars. It is thus clear: My expectations were not disappointed. The other songs are similar in principle to the other: Moody melodies, much more polyphonic singing (I appreciate this especially!), Pitch-black lyrics and a rhythm that goes off (up to a ballad). Folky sounds like you've known of "Easton Hope" you are looking on the new album, except for title No. 7, "A Reason To Give" alleredings vain. Some will be pleased, I regret it a bit. The old songs were complex in itself, offered more musical variety of topics. The actual songs are constructed in principle all on the pattern verse-chorus-verse-chorus-solo-chorus "All beautiful, but it is predictable, while the old songs offered more surprises and where I am already at the criticism.. I would can merge into one another, the intro and the title song, especially since the theme of the intro will be taken up at the end of "Rave Head" again and the few bars of the intro, where it is rocky and you also could omit a little up in the air. The intention is certainly to provide a transition to the prevailing style of the music and to lead to the first song, but I would have found it just different beautiful. But that is my personal view, and what are the few seconds to an otherwise totally successful and hörendwerten Album? My favorite song is "Sorrow is your Tale", a right ear candy with Hitqualitäten. Also on the ballad, is able to move back to their text tears, I was happy. A metal album without ballads is somehow incomplete, and the guys from Orden Ogan have internalized it. Thanks for that!
Who bought the issue with the two bonus tracks, can look forward to at the end still a folk version of "The Things We Believe in" from the previous album, and more or less (in my case the latter) on a for my taste not so successful version of "Fever"
