The overall picture quality is splendid, I find it superior to Panasonic and Nikon close enough.
I appreciate the opportunity to spend 16/9 with photos directly, which to me is not possible with the cameras.
There is a loss in megapixels, but it did not matter to me.
It is somewhat surprising that the flash is manual and requires user action (flash key and then the left side rises and reveals the flash, which is rather class)
The indoor / outdoor quality thus seems to me truly amazing especially the panasonic was already very very good.
The zoom is falling, I never saw that, I did some tests in maximum / minimum zoom, maximum zoom is watchable and can appreciate beautiful shots.
the grip on the right is terribly reminiscent of a DSLR while keeping the spirit of the compact.
In the least, I'd say the wheel "exposure" seems to me not relevant and will not be used, compacted, I do not understand the utility.
We should have kept the battery-charging system because charge on a computer, or direct current is really not engaging a risk dabîmer the device if mishandled.
Appraisal:
I found Sony after years where I sulked (it was there 7 years) for reasons that have no place to be on a modern compact whatever it is (very slow recharge for interior photos and atrocious blur).
And here I have a camera close to perfection.
It remains to remove the superfluous is this wheel "exposure" and deliver this battery charging principle, an open memory card items / charge a little more class and it will be of no mistakes.
I can only recommend it, and I do not regret having chosen to face a Panasonic (TZ40 for example)
