One thing was clear to me from the outset: it is to be an LED, cost 55 inches and preferably not more than 1,300 euros. Okay, the Philips 55pfl6007K 12 was now 100 euros more expensive, but it was worth it!
After eternally long Browse forums, brochures, electric markets and various tests were in the final of Philips 55pfl6007K 12 and the Samsung 55ES6300.
Here is my opinion of why I have the Philips preferred (although I'm Samsung Fan):
Pro:
- Super great picture, especially the HD channels / films. No TV can transform a SD program a masterpiece, but even the normal channels are good to watch
- 3D: top! Have on Sky a couple of movies watched in 3D, sensational! Personally, I find especially the option class that you can choose from 3 different depths. The conversion from 2D to 3D is ne great way to get out of a movie a little more. However, one must say that it makes no sense to convert movies in 3D, which are not in HD here. The glasses are lightweight and eyes gewöhen rapidly to the effect. 4 3D glasses are included here, but what I do not see as advantage but as the minimum because it is really here only to plastic and therefore is very low (If the same glasses as in the movies ...)
- The sound is great! My girlfriend came into the living room and was surprised, though she otherwise does not necessarily pay attention to the sound. Especially in movies with lots of action is the sound even without additional investment super (even though the Philips is very narrow!)
- Watching football: A delight! No streaks, no stuttering - just "horny"
- PS3 gamble: wow! Tested have Fifa13 and looks very good. Property here sometimes the 3D effect tried that but I have turned once again. But Philips can not help it ... maybe comes Fifa14 as 3D variant
- The Philips has 4 HDMI ports (Samsung provides only 3 at 6300)
- Ambilight: Philips greatest asset !!! I had a LED strip mounted on my old Samsung on the back. However, the change of course not match the picture the color, which was sometimes annoying. With Ambilight (again good settings) makes TV look even much more fun (our first test film was a horror movie .... super awesome)
Well, now to all the negative reviews here about bad software: It may indeed be a good thing that there were problems a few months ago. This, however, I can confirm in any way. The menu responds normally (it's just a TV and no high Gamer PC) and I have (been) detected no signs of defects. And if there are any, then this must be remedied by updates yes. But if a TV has a bad image, helps me not update. And before I ever rumhacke only on the software: I look to my TV to 99.9% ... TV menu I am sooo rare. So what is more important to me? Sure, the picture and the sound, and that's both good!
A few little things would however be improved:
- It seems to me the base somehow not to be very stable. But that is the fact that these must be screwed from behind. It would be better if the device could be draufgesetzt on the stand, that would make the whole thing appear trustful
- Even though we live in the age of Google and Co: If I buy a new TV set for 1400 Euros, I expect just that a detailed instruction manual is! But there is only one assembly instruction and a brief overview of the various connections.
- The switch from TV to the PS3 or the SkyBox the picture settings (personalized) are not adopted, but it has to be changed again in the menu on screen personalized adjustment => That would be something for next update !!!
- The remote control is very very used to, as in most paragraphs are above, but here they are down (and I turn the course thus always runs around * grrrr *)
So I do not regret buying! Although it still is difficult for me that in the future no longer dominated my Samsung monitor and TV world. But this Philips need to hide in any way! Thumbs up
