'Breaking Dawn' reads just as smooth as the voherigen 3 parts, I could not see that the writing style has changed large. As always everything was spoken very detailed and too detailed, but it I had already gotten used to.
The frequently urged grammar problems have always been there, so for me now is not such an important criterion.
My criticisms relate to the following items (*** SPOILER ***)
- The book is just too long, the story was stretched unnecessarily. The 'Twilight' Saga is a simple love story with super naturalen influences, but it was never built a myth, at least not comparable to other vampire legends. Nevertheless, the author has tried in the last book more to do with it. This is absolutely gone in my opinion wrong, because they just can not. Your ideas are too small.
It would have been better just to finish the story after the wedding with a direct Vampirwerdung from Bella. All came to the honeymoon just did only hurt.
- Renesmee. This part of the story I found the worst, because it simply did not fit into the overall framework. Me personally, neither the pregnancy nor the birth has shocked, I've read more violent. But the baby was just superfluous per se. The name is not even the worst part for me, but this perfection of Renesmee has led to heartburn with me and me just annoyed.
- The perfect Bella. Just ridiculous, here is final spans for me the bow. Three books I have long endured the perfection of almost all the characters, but that's still too much. Personally, I find much more interesting characters who sometimes have a blemish and those not traveling towards everything. The perfect Bella is just plain boring.
- The threat of the Volturi. First, the author has managed for a short time to build a certain tension, but that can then end in a ridiculous "Showdown".
In conclusion, I can only say that the first books were much better, and I certainly will read this someday again. But Stephenie Meyer has no author whose books I'm going to buy in the future.
The 'Twilight' series is light reading material, in which you have to think big and not to relax. However, it is not on a par with the books by JK Rowling, Cornelia Funke or Jonathan Stroud for me.
