Pay attention to the signal path!

The adapter accepts DVI-side on the signals and plays back on HDMI side (Ex .: graphics card with DVI output can thus be connected to a monitor with HDMI input). You can not connect the adapter to a monitor with DVI input to accommodate signals z. B. from the HDMI output of a notebook. The signal path is thus only DVI-HDMI but not HDMI-DVI. That this kind of adapter in only one direction function, I do not know. That was from my description not apparent and so unfortunately I could not use the adapter.
