I wanted a laptop that allows me to play new games, but still looks good and not so clunky and not too expensive. My old laptop was also from Asus, so I was actually quite pleased. So full of enthusiasm to Saturn, dragged home (quite heavy cardboard) and off you go. After I got used to Windows 8, the first impression is great. Positives: the performance is really great, it is in a few seconds, the fan is not loud, it looks classy (well visible ok fingerprints and the keyboard lighting is not optimal, but these are rather minor), the first match is the highest setting fine. Actually nothing to complain about. Then turned on music and ... the sound was totally clatter and rotten! I have contacted the Asus support and learn in a quick response, that it probably is a technical defect. So carried back to the dealer and dragged after two weeks with speakers exchanged back home. The enthusiasm has now dropped noticeably. For a laptop with the price, I would not expect such a thing. Now the sound is still not great, but ok. The speaker is mounted at front, so little stereo feeling. As long as it is encouraging desk, I have my boxes. But it's a laptop, so shall be used even cheer sofa or in the kitchen. This included subwoofer also does not really help. The supposedly great sound you would prefer to not advertise ... Overall, it's still a good laptop, what (a minus star) is, apart from the sound of my needs. After the stress with the exchange (minus second star) but I am quite happy with it.
