I do not belong to the senior group, but am severely visually impaired (residual vision: 2%) and so had some trouble with the "normal" phones ... Almost 2 weeks ago, I put my Doro 612 in aubergine-white to and test it first time through their paces: - Font size is great (greater than for any normal mobile phone) and for me to read even without a magnifying glass - Ringtones are actually ok (not just classical or cruel Popstückchen but also pleasant melodies) and you can even save songs and use as a ringtone - It has a camera which I'm looking forward (which otherwise often lacking in seniors phones) - The menu navigation is simple, logical and equipped with large icons - There are several color schemes to choose from (white-black, black-white, black-yellow blue-yellow.) - There is an easy to use alarm clock - At SMS input you will Duch a ca 1x2cm sachets informed (finally a proper notification) - Three "special keys" A, B and C can be programmed as a direct dial, as well as any other number shall be documented as a direct dial
And it does finally not look like a "pensioner phone" No matter what age, a little color and style you can indulge yes I think = o) * grin *
Had I researched before buying better, I would have taken perhaps the 615, since it still has a flashlight and could I imagine a flashlight function?!?
But otherwise, I can really only recommend: Try it out - it's worth it!
