I purchased the lens with the Sony Alpha 77 in the kit and is now about a 3/4 year in operation. While the kit lenses usually not a lot were good with my old Canon DSLRs (EOS 400D and 550D), I have to get rid of times that the term kit lens for Sony SAL1650 is completely misplaced. With a 2,8er-panel it is very well prepared for every situation. The autofocus is very quick and accurate, the SSM-high-performance engine is also very quiet. The images I'm more than satisfied, downright enthusiastic. Crisp sharp, high-contrast and impressive.

Conclusion: Great lens with excellent panel at a great price-performance ratio.
