It is an aluminum case with integrated battery Bluetooth keyboard with German layout. The keyboard has a chiclet keyboard / island keyboard design and is similar to the dimensions of a 10 Tablet: W x D x H: ~ 26 cm x 18 cm x 1 cm at the edge curvature.
Since the Sharon- keyboard conveniently offers a state function for the tablet and also acts as a transport protection cover, I am no longer dependent on the leather cover, which is why when transporting the tablets only the weight has increased slightly, but not the number of carried accessories ,
I am very pleased with the function and the processing of the device. The aluminum body is very robust, ie it is sufficiently rigid while typing and during transport. The translucent surface to be quite scratch resistant. So far I have seen no signs of wear on the bottom. The back is printed with the Leicke logo and compliance certification.
The pressure point of the keys I find very good. Also because of the non-hakeligen keys and pleasant stroke path my keyboard seems better than many laptops that I have owned. The smaller size of the keyboard is of course with normal-sized hands a disadvantage compared to adult keyboards, but you get used to it quickly.
The keyboard has a tray for placing the tablets. On the lower side there is a flap for angling the keyboard and tablet. The tablet recording of cases for the transport is reliable, that quickly, accurately and without wear. The one-click at the display side facing the keyboard has three rows of rubber cushions that serve as spacers and protect the screen from dirt and mechanical damage caused by the physical buttons.
The Enter button falls right from small, the Caps Lock and Shift key, however, are larger than I'm used to it. The Tab and Space key fall (in proportion to the size of the keyboard) of normal size.
The Fn key enables depending on the support of the associated device, functions as search, brightness, volume up / down, play, pause. Even numpad functions as plus / minus multiplication / division are conveniently as executable. Is also located a very Useful for Android Return key between the FN and CTRL.
The keyboard also has a Pairingknopf, an on / off slide switch and two indicator LEDs for indicating the BT connection and charging.
Although Tatstatur owns a German layout, the CTRL key is designed as a CTRL key.
As with most keyboards the F and J keys are marked haptic, but the buttons with dots and bars are not provided.
The advertised Sleep mode, which uses inactivity after 10 minutes, can be quit easily.
The advertised, long standby time, I can confirm. So far I have the keyboard even after two weeks, regular use since the initial charge does not have to reload.
I have the keyboard successfully with my Sony Z1 and my HDX can be used 7.
The keyboard could be connected reliably and smoothly switch to QWERTY, the trough could fix the equipment comfortably.
The advertised Leicke of compatibility and incompatibility with some simultaneously specified Samsung Tablets relates apparently not to the BT-compatibility, but the Shield -Deckelfunktion and the fit of the receiving trough.
The keyboard is stored in a cardboard box. This includes the keyboard, a velvet bag, a USB charging cable and a print manual (German / English).
In summary, I am very satisfied with the keyboard properties and the Shield function. While the keyboard has a palpable weight, so I feel but when not annoying, especially since I'm no longer dependent on the existing envelope.
