Unfortunately, the material extremely quickly scratched only by minimal dust particles but since I use the shell so the protection it gives me relatively unimportant. The side buttons are for turning relatively hard to press but it's still possible.
The weight of the Kindle is minimal "heavy".
All in all a good protection if you want to read at home, but not for transporting the Kindle in a bag or so suitable for this purpose, I would recommend a very fitting cover.
