No worries this compatibility between 200 and 500 Mbit / s on the contrary, the flow of old taken has been "boosted" with the setting up of a XAVB5601 at my box. Depending on the location of the outlets in the home (with a primary and a secondary electrical panel electrical panel due to a so enlarging the length of substantial electrical son in some cases) flow rates between about 90 and 130 Mbit / s (where I had between 75 and 90 Mbits / s with only the Netgear XAVB2501 taken 200 Mbit / s theoretical).
At installation, just remember to apairer catch them and then it works alone (even if you disconnect a block and it is connected again Moreover, it is immediately recognized on the network).
Finally this new generation is compact (compared to XAVB2501 bought it a year ago) and is well thought out with two earthing locations to guide the blocks up or down.
I also enjoyed ote give an explicit name to each block via the utility available on the website of Netgear [...]
I am fully satisfied.
