I bought the bag as protection for my MB Pro 15 ". It protects the device in my opinion, excellent. The zipper is mounted so that one does not thereby come into contact with the pure pushing or pulling out and thus causes no dreaded scratches. I always carry it in my backpack and laptop compartment am therefore very pleased that you put into it the device from above and thus not always only have to take out the whole bag.
