As me a few weeks ago the company Lighting EVER provided an opportunity for product testing, I decided of course immediately for a flexible LED strip. Nonetheless, this product must be my strict test criteria withstand, as there are numerous competitors with similar offerings on the market.
In addition, I had some requirements, such as a remote control, durable mounting, low energy consumption.

Commissioning
First of all, you should be aware of where and how you want to attach the strips. It is also possible to shorten the strip. There is a label on the strips can be cut simply to bring him to the correct length between each LED. Since I needed the full length, I have only the back of the 4 loose cables cut and attached the strips on the ceiling of my hobby cellar.
The attachment with the rear-mounted 3M adhesive tape worked with myself very reliable on a plastered with textured plaster wall. Even after several days, nothing has solved. The processing, even in the corners going slightly out of hand.
After fixing or possibly earlier to test, you close the control unit to the power supply. The control unit also includes a short cable with the IR receiver. This should be attached so that the IR receiver for the remote control has visual contact.
The second cable located on the control unit contains a beech tree to connect the 4-pin connector on the LED strip. Here, particular attention on the small arrows to the socket and plug. They must match.
Service
With the included remote control to access all functions easily control.
The layout of the buttons is logical, allowing intuitive operation. Although I am not a fan of membrane keys, the tactile feedback is good.
In the top row are the on-off switch, the LED strips can be switched almost without current, the brightness control and the Pause button to pause the playback effect. With the underlying 16 colored buttons 16 colors are selected accordingly. Another keypad with 12 buttons used for the continuous R / G / B color settings, and saving the selected colors on 6 function keys. The 8 keys for controlling effects are attached to the bottom and right.
Extensibility
Theoretically it is also possible to cut several strips and all to come with a private cord or connect using the included connectors several strips to a greater length of for example 10 meters or more.
But that uses relatively little, because only one power supply unit and a control unit are provided in the package. Parts one the strip into several smaller units, are required for each unit of course its own power supply incl. Control unit and remote control. When lengthening the strip, eg to 10 m, this also has a higher power consumption of up to 50 watts result. Since the included AC adapter delivers only 36 watts, a more powerful power supply has to be bought.
Conclusion
For a market price of about 40 EUR you get a high-quality LED strips with versatile application possibilities. The mounting is simple and durable and operation intuitive. The bright white is really very bright and is good with me even as energy-saving lighting. Since a video often says more than many words, I have created a small demo video with various effects. The color reproduction is true to life and undistorted.
The expandability is indeed given, but quite expensive, so you can then also purchase a complete, second strip with accessories (cost A power supply with controller 25 EUR). In addition, a microphone for the synchronous control of light effects to the music would have been desirable. However, this provides no manufacturer as standard delivery.
