It is of very good quality faux leather. It hugs the tablet and very firmly holds a little trouble to put in open position for watching a movie, for example. This is not a fault for me instead maintaining ideal and it does not slip.
The mode with the keyboard, as said in the other comment required to leave the lower part of the protection. By inconvenient for those who, like me, use more "mode" that tablet PC mini. For the latter, I do not recommend it because with the keyboard, protecting it closes completely.
