I bought this adapter to back up my dives on my PC, from a Aladin 2G. My PC runs Windows 7 x64 and I did not have any concern installation, the adapter has been recognized automatically. Its size allows it to take anywhere and USB extension cable is really handy. Since I have it, I never had any problem to transfer my dives, so for the price, I can only recommend this product, which remains much cheaper than the infrared adapter sold by Scubapro, for features identical.
