It's been a week since I use the NWZ e585 and I am delighted. After more than five and a half years of good and loyal service, it's been a few months that my old Sony (model NWZ 818) was acting: he was not recognized on computers, handling the hard reboot only allowed me to load my MP3 player into the USB port and I could not transfer more files. So I launched into buying a new MP3 player preferences: a non-tactile, the Sony because the menu is clear and simple, drag and drop music files is perfect for me. I do not know if my opinion will allow some to buy this great player but here are my positives: - Battery: it sits well. She has spent only 1 of 4 bar while I easily listen 14 hours of music (with noise canceling option) - Noise canceling: impressive - I have never actually used this kind of system but I can only say that its functionality is perfect in a subway + bus. To be honest, the first time I used it I was surprised because I work ina very noisy Parisian avenue and frequented by buses, cars, scooters ... I found myself with absolute silence while I had only just turning it (* ^ ^ * sur_prise) - I had the impression that the world was stopped around me! - Podcast, radio ... for aficionados.
Negative: - Headphones are Sony mod owner (therefore must be changed, the noise canceling is inoperative, it will redeem identical headphones - Having had nwz 818, I could change tracks through my jeans. Its design made it possible to recognize the key placement. This manipulation I can not do it with this new model because it is 100% flat, I can not locate buttons through my jeans. It is however possible to change tracks if the buttons are accessible (pockets on the night ...)
ps1: You tell me that's overpriced, it's not touch it and just create a Euro 30aine to have a ipod touch ... Except that I have a touch phone, the battery nwz e585 is long: 77h promised by Sony (I would say a 60aine hours is not bad :)
ps2: FYI, this model is unique in the US, it will not come out ... I had confirmation from a vendor Sony Store New York. I intended to take during my stay in early October.
