I start with what has disturbed us in our old hand blender:
After some time the plastic foot was orange / red
When mixing outside of the jar syringe often just wide
if you wanted to puree larger solid materials and they were larger than the opening under the knife, the only gimmick (hold something wrong etc.) was possible because they could not squeeze into the fruit, etc. due to the wide plastic rim.
Because of only a speed he was often not optimally use (in aqueous fluids it injected in eg diced peppers it hurls through the high speed parts are more likely to be too Puree page etc.)
After receipt of the hand blender we have tried the same times what these so angepriesener splashguard can so. Into a container of water, no matter how wrong it keeps the blender into the water, it does not splash. When puree soup but it can sometimes be (albeit few) spatter.
The Proportional speed control like it very much, although probably 2 speeds are sufficient (as the slightly cheaper model)
But what we disturbed when something cheaper model was that the outside is the foot of a plastic / plastic combination, etc. what we did not want to because of the durability.
But here comes the only but, in this model of the hand blender plastic is in the footer processed inside of the foot is a plastic insert, for whatever reason (is certainly a reason have).
The foot portion of the hand blender is dishwasher safe, but in the long run is the safe for the plastic insert in the base can not be optimal.
The accidental activation is used to, but just if you have children in the house has a (albeit small) to hurdle before turning on the mixer to protect. Although me our daughter has the same stated right away how to activate the mixer. But the mixer should (assembled and connected) not lying around accessible for children.
Despite the 2 small criticisms, I can recommend the hand blender.
