ADDING 03/03/2014: My daughter uses this card on a Canon PowerShot SX50 for over a year. Never met any problem, be it photos or video even FULL HD. Over time, the results are excellent, this card keeps pace well with heavy use, not the slightest malfunction and I continue to recommend it especially since it is guaranteed 5 years. However, if a speed of 20 Mbps is not enough for your use, go to the upper range (300x SDXC UHS-I: 45 Mbps speed, SDXC UHS-I 600x: speed 64 Mbps).

While this is a map "no name", it works perfectly for now.
One can find three times faster under the name cards SDXC UHS-I (see my addition) but these are, in my opinion, reserved for top-level materials (eg Video Ultra HD 4K). Class 10 "normal" is less than that allow certain cards and not a theoretical transfer rate but the speed MINIMAL WRITING (in MB / s) WARRANTY.
However, before any purchase:
- Check that your device supports SDXC cards well (there is no "down" compatibility and SDXC card will not work on a device that uses SDHC cards)
- Check the "class" of recommended or supported by your device card: the index is simply the minimum guaranteed speed writing. On a device for which it is advisable class 6 cards, needless to believe that with a class 10 will work best: it is always the slowest link in the chain wins. Note that the readings rates are well above those in writing.
- Often the maximum achievable flow rate (peak flow, unsecured) and the average speed that can be measured are well above the guaranteed minimum. It must be very careful and take into account the minimum guaranteed throughput THAT: this is what needs your device, including your videos. In the case of this card, the characteristics are checked one by one before packaging in Germany. Honestly, do not worry to measure these flows (many of us have had the curiosity to do from the software available free on the net, there are also formatting software, recovery etc.) everything is OK.
- If necessary (but it should no longer involve large world) make sure that your computer is running XP SP2 or 3 (with the installed KB955704 update) or a later version of Windows.
After your purchase:
- If you look at the size of the card after formatting, remember that 64GB is less than 64 000 MB and 64,000 MB, it is less than 64 million Ko etc. It is 100% NORMAL than the specified size is less than the figures I have quoted, this is absolutely not a defect of your card.
- I push the door open, but you can have on your card up to 64 GB of data or about 100 CDs or DVDs 8. The "no chance" does not hit than others (I just had an external hard drive 500GB Western Digital last model that made the soul) and I imagine that you are holding the photos taken or videos . Think about how often backups. Is usually done systematically at first, and after, things work so well that tends to space more.
In summary, a card with high performance (I repeat guaranteed by tests carried out on each card in Germany), more than sufficient for home use and with excellent quality / price ratio.
Its only flaw after several weeks of heavy use? It comes without the small protective plastic case.
