Perfect service ... HD + is a pleasure

1. --- look and feel ---
The Technisat TechniBox S1 + is a small black box from acting quite cheap plastic. Some sites can push easily. The box is small and very light and should be high, so to all other existing devices in the technology center (living room) are.
The TechniBox has no front panel display, so no indication of place or television program. Ideally suited for the bedroom.
There is no off switch on the device, so always standby.

2. --- --- remote control
I've since 6 years a TechniSat receiver, also this has the same remote control. The new remote control is black and looks a bit easier.
All buttons are logically and it can be a short time to operate everything without looking.

3. --- --- Sound & Image Quality
HD + is already a pleasure. I saw the first time football in HD, a pleasure. You can see the back number easily and the audience also no longer act as blurry.
MyScreen provides a 46-inch TV (Samsung UE46ES6100) - a dream!
My first 9 programs I can now all watch in HD: ARD, ZDF, VOX, Kabel 1, RTL2, RTL, SAT 1, Sport1 and Pro7.
Of course, this only makes the 1-year-HD + card possible that comes with. It is laterally inserted into the case, the part of the housing is open, but you do not see from the couch.

4. --- --- Recording Function
I had an old 2.5-inch hard drive lying around from a notebook of 2008, ie just connect. The menu shows the HDD formatting and you can already take.
The recording of HD + is also possible. However, the function Forward is then deactivated, so you have to run the ads. Since this is pay-TV, that's logical.
In normal TV you can also fast forward.
Unfortunately, the switch is no longer possible when shooting. I do not know if it is because of my old hard drive, but it does not go.

5. --- experience with TechniSat ---
As already described under item 2, I've been about 6 years a TechniSat receiver with a 80GB hard drive, but without HD +. The whole menu at TechniSat has been thought, you find all the settings very quickly. The Programme Guide works beautifully (1 week preview). The remote control is to use a dream because I can operate completely blind.
The buttons are so designed that one can feel anything.

6. Conclusion --- pro / contra ---

+ Easy operation
+ Clear menu structure
+ Simple recording function
+ Clear picture (connecting via HDMI)
+ Fast switching (zapping)
+ Programme Guide
+ Sorting function of programs very easy
+ + HD recording with old hard drive possible (I think even 5400 U / min)
o not switch during recording function
- Quality of the receiver could be better (but you never touched again anyway, because there is no off switch)

I will by default connect again my old receiver, since the supports recording function with switching. Only when I want to enjoy Full HD television, I will connect the Technisat TechniBox S1 + and my 46 inches in perfection enjoy.
