The solar charger has exceeded my expectations by far. Already in the early morning sun, it has within 2-3 hours fully charged my phone (Nexus 5), which is at least as fast as the charger into an electrical outlet. The rest of the day I have so an external battery (Anker Astro E4) charged, which can be neatly stored in one of the sewn pouch. Thus, the evening always enough power was available to charge the phones my sailors.
With an overcast sky, the power can of course for something that was, however, still quite enough to order quickly recharge my phone. That made me very surprised. I can not say exactly how much longer charging has then lasted but.
The sewn eyelets are suitable fine to attach the charger with a few sail ties on the boat, and thus to secure for a little more wind to fly. The cells are protected by a plastic cover quite stable but that also reasonably waterproof. The USB connections are hidden under the side pocket, which she at least protect against small amounts of splashing. Exposure to rain or seawater larger quantities, the charger must be protected but in any case, as these connections are likely to corrode otherwise probably quite fast.
The solar panels can be folded very space-saving, so that it is to find a place for it even with the limited supply of storage space on a yacht. When folded, the module about the size of an A4 page and is about 1.5 cm thick.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with the performance and will wrap it up on my future trips. My sailors were very enthusiastic and the charger will probably set too;)
