I'm often on the road and wanted to have a small and lightweight notebook. The Acer Aspire E3-112 is the perfect solution for me. The screen resolution is working or is contrary to other reviews anyway absolutely clear, sharp and sufficient. I have the hard disk on which Windows was indeed 8.1 installed formatted and operate Linux Mint 17 - Everything works perfectly. The only thing that is recommended is that you advance a USB - Stick with at least 16 GB of memory holds the installed WIN-8 version with a backup to secure. There is no Recover DVD or the like at - if you would like to return to the pre-installed system, a recovery DVD or book to ACER you can at ACER 50 order (!! extremely overpriced) sending, then the basic system would start fresh and free of charge be installed - which is not necessary in my case, because I anyway use Linux (with WIN XP and a few applications in a virtual box - if I ever need anything from WIN - which almost never the case) ...
For me, anyway here all the stars and full satisfaction.
