First Impression:
Packaging and accessories all right. Can easily without having been injured while unpacking. With today blister packs do not always self-evident.
CD is not there, I did not need, quickly at Logitech downloaded the latest driver (Logitech Control Center) installed fits. You can adjust everything reasonable.
Functions and handling:
Trackball has a reasonable weight, but could still set a few hundred grams to my mind. Then he is even more stable. He stands on three rubber feet, wobbles and does not slide and takes up little space. Material is plastic, slightly roughened. The keys are a bit slippery, but no one sees fingerprints. The 4 keys (primary and secondary, the latter a little smaller and integrated into the former are) are easy to reach to the right Secondary. In the right secondary button you have the extreme right 2 fingers ('m right-handed, left-handed so please understand everything the other way around) lift, so that the ring finger can then press. Is not optimally solved but is perhaps only on my hands.
All keys are freely assignable by the LCC software. Who needs more functions with Mac OSX, please read carefully the next section.
Scroll function under Mac OSX:
After Logitech itself is not hinbekommt years to implement a scroll function (360 degrees scroll) that will get the Windows users with simultaneous clicking of two primary keys, I went on a search for an alternative and I have found a. With the software "Smart Scroll" for Mac OSX (also runs on the latest version 10.10.2) I can set up a "grave Scroll". I have put me on the secondary mouse button, the function, I express this, I can scroll the screen in any direction. With the function "Scroll without moving cursor" I did not come across this mouse also on the edge of the screen. -> Perfect!
Unfortunately costs a few dollars, but what does not do anything for the health and comfort.
Conclusion:
Hardware good, software Logitech grade 3, with additional software, there are the perfect and most ergonomic package, for comparatively good money. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away wants to spend too much money from his mouse for the first start with a trackball.
