Perhaps the best Action Core, the world has ever seen!

Steve Jablonsky has become famous with this masterpiece of Actionuntermahlung in the world of film music. And still is his score for the first (and by far the best) Transformers movie a blast. Big issues, a typical and yet epic Media Ventures sound and endless power.

The music is influenced a lot by the synthesizer. But so well mixed with the orchestra that sometimes you do not get heard that sound comes from where.
There are on it all the 20 pieces and each is absolutely gorgeous! The tracks are maintained very big, epic and action-packed for the most part.

That what makes this score so is the fact that each piece in its own way is unique! The first part of the CD, for example, consists mainly of independent themes ("Autobots" "Decepticons", "All Spark", "Optimus", "Bumblebee", "Scorponok" ...) and there are so many, that one wonders again why Mr. Jablonsky has not set to music two or three movies so ...
"Autobots" is the heroic theme for the good Transformer and "Decepticons" is the horrible and brutal, evil motive for their opponent. Through the wonderful choir-use, which is used as a beat, this track will receive a special effect! "The All Spark" is a beautiful piece that is played by a cello in the foreground and in the background drone bass, really great. "Deciphering The Signal" is evil and dynamic and again a separate subject, like the menacing "Frenzy".
With "Optimus" gets the score again a very emotional side, because if the pan flute begins to play the grand motive of Optimus Prime, I am stirred repeatedly. This theme symbolizes Optimus almost as a kind of chief, very appropriate. At the latest from here is probably almost every listener will love this CD! "Bumblebee" is the theme of "The All Spark" but in a very different and more powerful version: Almost two minutes, the track builds up slowly until then completely breaks in this wonderful melody, to the discreet choir in the background, wonderful.
With "Soccent Attack" it starts again very action-packed and is a great, short
and above all effective piece. Some are a parallel to "The Lion King" out listening and indeed to the point where the herd over Simba falls here ...
"Sam At The Lake": Oh, a wonderful track, very calm and dynamic. This title exudes a permanent tranquility, offering again a new tune in this soundtrack.
Now comes a (nother) Highlight: "Scorponok". Here the great marching music is played, which is not only a great ear candy, but also a driving melody for the film and their scene. "Cybertron" is short but good, an oppressive version of the All Spark / Bumblebee theme.
One of the two absolute highlights of the CD is "Arrival to Earth": This piece is pure emotion and power and caused me repeatedly goosebumps. The arrival of the Autobots on Earth is already a visual delight, with this kind of music but to the scene reached a place of honor in my memory for ever! This piece contains the most emblematic theme of "Transformers", unfortunately it is alluded to only here in this track ...
"Witwicky" is in the style of "Sam At The Lake" only a little darker and more exciting. "Downtown Battle" is just cool and typical of Michael Bayfilme. "Sector 7" is very threatening again and ended up going in the oppressive piece "Bumblebee Captured" in which the Bumblebee / All Spark theme is played very dramatic.
Now it comes with "You're A Soldier Now" in the hot phase: The final battle in the city center will be set to music very bombastic and loud. Especially the end of this track is great if Optimus Prime transforms and his subject fully flourish.
"Sam On The Roof" is a nice return of the Decepticon theme and then followed by the second highlight of this CD: "Optimus VS Megatron". This bomb title underscored not only the final scene, but is a grandiose and dramatic summary of the marsh and Autobot theme!
With "No Sacrifice, No Victory" the score sounds like this, as it began, in the good old theme of the Autobots.

Although the pieces are not very chronological, but the order in this album I think to hear much more suitable because the issues better get as much advantage.

The only thing that might have to complain about, or rather serves as a piece of advice is that the music does not pause in their power, to say that there ever is a bit exhausting after half an hour to follow the brutal sound, but the I think this is also a matter of taste ...
For comparison with the Complete Score: I have both versions and must say that the CS is better, yes, but just a little. There are many great passages that are on the album Core not on it, but missed not one absolutely, so this CD will do just fine!

By far one of the favorites in my collection! "Transformers" is big, loud, epic, entertaining and highly recommended for those who are on the rapid search for a harmonious and powerful film soundtrack. Jablonsky best score!
