I had informed me before buying the Cloer 7580 intensively on the different coffee grinders grinder technologies, and after I had best technology "slow conical grinder" sorted out costs because of the high cost of acquisition (and potential repair) the mE, only remained the with disc or fly cutter grinder. However, these have ia the disadvantage that they heat the material to be ground due to the high speeds too and it could lead to a flavor-changing post-roasting.
When Cloer 7580 the beans are ground in a removable cup (noble?) Steel. Since the metal that conducts heat well, the beans or ground coffee are my opinion not so much heated, as in other Schlagmesser- or disc grinders. This is a great advantage of Cloer. In addition, the ground coffee by the cup removable leaves well and refill the cups are easily cleaned.
Another deciding factor was that I wanted to buy a standalone unit that permanently occupied space on the kitchen countertop, as is the case with most electric coffee grinders with conical or disc grinder.
The Cloer 7580 can also be very finely grind, probably enough for espresso fine. At least it is so that I (French press), the beans must not grind too long for use in Bodum-coffee making facilities, because otherwise the screen in the French press can hardly push down.
In addition, the Cloer 7580 mE is very cost effective.
