I have the Tokina 11-16mm get from a friend for a few days of testing, I quite flirtatious with the purchase of a UWWs. The build quality is excellent, special mention here is the "change-over" from AF to MF, the one just pulls or pushes up again. So you have to feel for any small switch more ... The prospects and opportunities that present themselves with this objective, are outstanding and the image results behave accordingly. The integrated luminosity of 2.8 helps in one way or another situation and the focus can be quite impressive already at full aperture. Fade Out is for even better sharpness but helpful. Distortions are normal and so m at short focal lengths. E. They are also included (otherwise you need this "perspective" is not), CAs I could see in any situation. In conjunction with my Canon 60D the AF sat always quickly and reliably where I wanted him. The overall image quality is beyond any doubt and thus cover my experience with a number of very good test results.
In the main points made me the Tokina so clearly convinced a downer there in my opinion but nevertheless, that the very short focal length range. It is very limited in its options upwards and wishes sometimes that one but least up to 20mm or 22mm "turn up" could to avoid a renewed changing lenses. For me, unfortunately, the knock-out criterion for this objective, but what I do not want to revise the above-mentioned positive points, or even pull off a star.
Those who wish to restrict creative in this focal length range, which receives the Tokina 11-16mm an excellent lens, which I can clearly recommend!
